Community guidelines

Barrier Buster is a space for practical, respectful conversation about making kitchens work for more people.

  1. Lead with respect

    Everyone here brings different abilities, experience and ways of working. Disagree with ideas, never with people’s right to take part.

  2. Share what you know, and say how you know it

    Personal experience is welcome and valuable. Be clear about what you have lived, what you have tried, and what you are suggesting.

  3. Protect privacy

    Don’t share anyone’s personal details, medical information, or workplace specifics without their permission, including your own if you would rather not.

  4. No sales or promotion

    This is a place for ideas and experience, not advertising. Commercial offers and repeated self-promotion will be removed.

  5. Ideas here are concepts, not advice

    Nothing shared in the community has been tested or certified. Check any change to equipment or practice with your employer and the relevant safety standards.

  6. Report problems instead of escalating

    If something is inappropriate, report it. Moderators can remove content and suspend accounts that break these guidelines.
